Club History

Button City Football Club is a soccer club that brings together friends for the beautiful game.

We were founded in 2023 after the start of development of indie game Button City: Soccer Days and the developers wanted to make a real life team to play alongside Button City FC in the game.

We focus on playing in coed soccer with multiple teams including indoor, 7v7, and 11v11 to give our players a place to make friends and build community. We want people to connect, have fun, and grow whether thats with skill, socially, or some other metric.

We're an inclusive team that supports players of all skill levels, ages, races, gender identities, sexual orientations, and abilities. We actively push out bigotry, racism, sexism, transphobia, and other forms of hate.

The Name and Crest

Button City Football Club is named after the team with the same name in Button City: Soccer Days. In game the club is started by the Butotn City arcade owner and is fielded by the kids who play at the arcade. The name was inspired by a local nickle city arcade.

The crest shows a fox with his paw on a soccer ball. The fox is based on Fennel, the main character from Button City. He's a shy kid who grows to bring a community together. The crest is a celebration of the game Button City and the story of building community.
